Project Lean - California School Food Standard Calculator
Project Leaders Encouraging Activity and Nutrition (LEAN) Competitive Foods Calculator: To view the updated Competitive Foods Calculator for California, please visit the Project LEAN Food and Beverage Standards Calculator Web page at http://www.californiaprojectlean.org/doc.asp?id=180&parentid=95. Funded by Project LEAN, the CDE NSD provided technical assistance to develop this updated online tool. This calculator now integrates both California and federal competitive food rules into an easy-to-use online calculator. Any group or individual selling foods or beverages to students on school campus during the school day can use this calculator. The user chooses the appropriate food or beverage category and answers a few questions, which may include adding nutrition information. The calculator then determines if your item is compliant for California elementary, middle, or high schools.
