Carson’s Food Drive

The Carson Second Harvest Food Drive is happening now and will continue through December 22, 2017.

Our goal is to donate 500 pounds of non-perishable food and $250.00 through our donations link.

You can make an online donation to our Carson Cougars’ team page here or you can drop off your donation in one of the 6 bins in the Media Center or Main Office.

Why make a monetary donation?  Because of Second Harvest’s buying power, every $1 donated to the Food Bank provides nearly $3 worth of healthy food at a local grocery store.

Suggested items:
•canned tuna, chicken or salmon • peanut butter • meals in a can (soup, stew, chili) • low sodium canned vegetables • canned fruit in its own juice or water • olive or canola oil • spices (cinnamon, chili powder, cumin, salt-free spice blends) • canned foods with pop-top lids • low-sugar whole grain cereals • healthy snacks (granola bars, nuts, dried fruit)•

Please avoid items packed in glass.  No candy or sugar-sweetened drinks.
Thank you Carson Cougars!!!
