Fifth-graders in Tracey Ananmalay’s class at Los Alamitos Elementary participate in a video conference with Alan Alda, moderator of the 2013 Flame Challenge, a contest in which scientists try to explain complex concepts in ways an 11-year old can understand.

Washington

Kristi Yamaguchi visits students from Washington Elementary School as part of her Always Reading program.

Olga Morales-Anaya, Counselor at Lincoln High School was recognized and congratulated for winning the Project Cornerstone Positive Cultural Identity Award for her work in building assets in young people.
